Spotted at the local supermarket a week or two (it's still up, BTW):

Does anyone feel hungry? Because I sure don't. :)

I'm not sure what it is, but I lost my appetite at "SWEATwater"

They're smoked freshwater shrimp (palaeomonetes antennarius). :)

The explanation is most likely that somebody tried to translate "Süßwasser", didn't know that the proper English term was "freshwater", and went for a literal translation ("sweet water") instead... and then either mixed it up with "sea water" or just made a typo, but in either case didn't realize that "sweat water" would have a rather different, much less appetizing meaning.

I'm surprised nobody caught this later on. :) On the other hand, chances are many customers won't have noticed, either.

*looks that up as well* Ah, they both sound interesting! I wonder if I'll get a chance to try them some day.

They're available in Asian food supermarkets here, as are some familiar things such as Dr Pepper.

Mmm, that's an idea. I'll keep an eye open for them.
