I love exploring on Second Life — and I love finding things I never knew were there.

For instance, while moth_wingthane and I were going for a swim recently, we found that a bridge carrying one of the Linden routes actually had an old, rusty submarine on the ocean floor below it. You'd never guess unless you actually jumped into the water and saw for yourself, and it seems unlikely that many people would do that (to say the least), but somebody, some time, cared enough to add this little touch. I think that's wonderful.

Things like this just make me happy. :) And I almost feel bad for never having paid or otherwise invested a single cent into SL (although I know that the main income they have is likely land rentals, anyway, and I'm encouraging those simply by frequenting places that I like and care about).

It is! And although I've walked across the bridge several times and even swam in the ocean there before, I never knew about it. :D

Yup — simple, but effective design. :)
