365 days of SL, day 91:

Wow, has it really been three months already? Apparently so, so it is perhaps fitting that today's screenshot (which is actually yesterday's since that's when I took it, but you know what I mean) is from Black Gazza, the place/sim where I've likely spent the majority of my time on SL.

As usual, everything is in flux at BG; things don't always get finished, or even polished, but one thing you cannot say about the place is that there isn't a plethora of building going on at any given moment. People are brimming with ideas for what to create and what to change.

This is true right now, too. The surface of the sim is just seeing quite a bit of activity again; bridges are being torn down and reconstructed, roads are ripped out and replaced, and so on. And several tenants have come and gone, so the rented plots have changed, too.

The above screenshot shows a particularly nice-looking bit belonging to Wolfy Darkwatch; a garden with a meadow, flowers and trees. It's not big, but it's nice: quality rather than quantity. The rest of the sim is more of a construction site, of course, but that needn't be a bad thing. BG is definitely moving forward.

Location: Black Gazza (115, 60, 22)

I love that you can see my cable-stay bridge that I'm working on in the background. I have to finish doing the cabling, which, in SL ... is hard. :) But it's coming along. But Wolfy definitely has one of the prettiest plots on the entire sim.

Oh, right, you can actually see a bit of the bridge there! ^^ I'm looking forward to seeing that one finished soon, too. :)

It's better than what was there, and I redid the bondage pagoda to something a little less fugly.

The old bridge was innovative for the time, but it was getting dated very quickly.

*nods* Making things look good and keeping them that way can take quite a bit of time and effort... as I actually said just recently, design's 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, too. And the law of diminishing returns applies: you can get 80% of the work done in 20% of the time, but if you really want to polish things and do the last 20%, you'll have to invest more time still. It's really a lot for two people to do, doubly so when you also have day jobs and all that. I'm actually often quite amazed by the sheer amount of things that you and Timber manage to build.

I'm sure it'll all look nice when it's done, too. :)

That's BG? It's changed since timberwoof last showed some of it to me. Just needs a few happily frolicking bunnies. ^_^

*s* Yes, it is, but the screenshot mostly shows (part of) the contents of a parcel rented by one of the resident patrons. It's not part of the official building, as done by kyroraz, timberwoof etc.
