365 days of SL, day 129:

Yesterday was one of those days where I really wasn't quite sure what to take a screenshot of again. However, since I'd mentioned just then (on day 128) that Jeogeot seems to be my "home continent", I thought that might be fun to see a continent I've not been to before, as far as I can recall.

So what continents are there again? I've been to Heterocera (aka Atoll) just recently; that's where the railroad is, seen on day 114 and day 115. And I've been to Satori (the "Japanese continent") on day 120; Jeogeot is a given, anyway, and I'm pretty sure I've visited Corsica. And I have landmarks for Route 7, so I've been to Gaeta V — in fact, day 38 has a screenshot from there, and it's also mentioned e.g. here in an earlier entry from 2009. (And isn't it interesting how there's a "travelogue" idea being mentioned there? It took a while, but I'd say this current project is pretty much an implementation of that now.)

Anyhow, that left Nautilus, Sansara and Zindra (the Adult continent; see day 126 for a few words on content ratings), and after looking at this map, I decided to hop over to the end of Route 12, near the "Explorers Information Centre" marked on the map.

The latter was nowhere to be found, but we did hit the road, which just ended there. There's a few places near by that I'd like to check out later (and a few eyesores, such as a giant default wood cube that I managed to not let appear in the above screenshot), and I'd also like to hit the road eventually, but yesterday, it was too late and I was too tired, so we didn't stick around for very long.

I did get a close-up of the map, though, showing the entire of Route 12 in northern Nautilus:

It's not a map of Nautilus as a whole, but I think it looks better than most SL maps I've seen so far, including both Yevad Doobie's maps (invaluable, but not very pretty) and Earthy Mole's maps (e.g. this, this and this — stylized, but perhaps TOO stylized for my taste).

Location: Camorro (251, 16, 51) (Route 12A)
