In a move that surprised many of even his most ardent supporters, Romney decided to eschew the traditional concession speech in favor of a concession song, and an unusually honest one at that, without any crocodile tears being shed:

(And my hat's off to the Gregory Brothers for managing to put this together so quickly!)

Yup. :) That's part of what makes it funny — he really IS filthy rich, and I mean filthy rich. At an estimated net worth of 190 to 250 million US dollars (as published by his own campaign in August 2011), he's not just part of the 1%, he's probably part of the 0.01%.

(It's surprisingly hard to actually find data on this, though. I thought that e.g. census.gov might have an interactive data browser where you can e.g. plot the average household net worth vs. the percentile on a double-logarithmic scale, but all they have on household assets is a couple of Excel files that don't even say how much the "1%" own. (I'm not blaming them – they're probably as hard-working as they are understaffed –, but I wish there was more data.)

LOL...too funny. I hadn't seen this one.

It's not like there was a lot of choice, but I am glad this guy didn't win.

Yeah — I'd be lying if I said I'd preferred for him to win rather than Obama, too.

Cute icon, too, BTW. :)
