365 days of SL, day 241:

(Click for larger — 1920x1033 PNG, 1577 KiB)

After I talked about Palmana / Levane Estate yesterday and also mentioned the float – a spot I've often made use of to work on my virtual tan – I realized that despite it being sort-of-visible on day 167, it's never actually been properly depicted, so here it is in its full glory, in the nowadays mostly empty sim.

The included plane is just to give you a sense of scale. :P

Location: Palmana (186, 198, 20) (Levane Estate)

It's such a pity one can't modify others' avs.. I quite feel in the mood to paint that plane a much more fetching shade of pink. He's remained with the same paint job for.. well, as long as I've known. =:)

Heeh! I think he's wearing a jumpsuit, actually, but yes, you're right, he's had the same paint job for ages, too.

Wouldn't it be fun if objects in SL were represented in a suitable XML dialect, with the visuals applied as a stylesheet of some sort (CSS, most likely; I don't know much about XSL), and the user being able to apply their own on top of that? Presumably in practice, it'd work the same as with browsers — cascadability being there in theory but largely unusable in practice, but nonetheless, it would be fun, and it'd allow you to do exactly this sort of thing. :)

With things being the way they are, anyhow, you might still be able to persuade him to get a new paint job. Hey, it worked for Putt-Putt... :)
