Good riddance

Finally — Firefox 23 (currently in alpha, aka "Aurora") and above will completely get rid of blinking, both the original <blink> tags and text-decoration: blink in CSS.

There's already a preference for disabling this (browser.blink_allowed), deplorably defaulting to true; with Firefox 23, we'll finally be able to consign the whole shebang to history. (Not that CSS doesn't allow you to do much worse, of course.)

Curiously, BTW, this is one misfeature that did not originate with Internet Explorer.
