Are there any unicode/font/... geeks who can explain to me (in simple words) why the character ⏠ ("U+23E0 TOP TORTOISE SHELL BRACKET") causes some following characters to appear larger than normal? E.g., using ⎝ ("U+239D LEFT PARENTHESIS LOWER HOOK"):


⎝⏠⎝

(If you can't see the above, or if it all looks fine to you, here's what I see.) All these SHOULD be the same size, as far as I can tell, but they're not. Why? o.o

strange, on my friends page they're both the same size, huge, but when i click to view the individual entry, they're different sizes.

Hmm, interesting. :)

I've tried three browsers on two OSes (both windows versions, admittedly) now, but it always looks the same for me. Same when I use ?format=light, too; there's no change.

What does ?style=mine do for you?
