365 days of SL, day 9:

I already mentioned skybox building in SL in my previous "365 days" post. The above, belonging to a friend, is a very nice example in pretty much every regard; it's not just a floating house that's suspended without any obvious reason, but rather a pair of giant floating rocks, perhaps not unlike the Hallelujah Mountains in Avatar.
They also not just lampshade the lack of gravity in an amusing way with both the hanging bridge and the waterfall into nowhere, they're also pretty. It probably doesn't show so well on the screenshot (although I have too much ambient light in the room right now, killing the contrast on the details), but it's a nice and pleasant place for just lounging about.
It's also high enough to not be visible from the ground: the sky doesn't get cluttered, you'll have your privacy (people COULD conceivably get up there, but they wouldn't know it's there in the first place), and you also won't see the ground when you're up there. Definitely a pleasant little retreat.
