365 days of SL, day 31:

It's amazing how many interesting new places you can find, even in areas that you've been visiting for ages already. This volcano, for example, is just a few sims away from Lordshore (the bay with its bridge and everything, not just the sim of the same name), but I never knew it was there until Moth mentioned it last night.

It's situated on a tropical island with palm trees, and lava's slowly flowing down into the water and causing steam to rise up — which makes for a rather lovely visual effect, especially at night. I wouldn't want to bathe there (not that the lava has any actual effect, but you gotta stay in character, right?), but it was great for taking pictures.

I'm sure I won't have been there the last time, either; I only really got a brief look and didn't have a chance to poke around the island yet.
