365 days of SL, day 33:

(Click for larger — 1920x1033 PNG, 2733 KiB)

I've mentioned rez zones before, on day 24. To refresh your memory, here's the relevant bit again:

[T]he Linden roads all have special rez zones at regular intervals, indicated by signs, intended to allow people to rez vehicles etc. for travelling on the road without the entire road having to permit rezzing.

The above is an example of what a rez zone looks like. There's not much to them, most of the time; just signs on either end that tell you where the zone begins and ends. Some rez zones are a little fancier, with side lanes on the road where vehicles can get started and enter the moving traffic (not that there usually IS any moving traffic on the Linden roads, of course), but most I've seen are like this one near Lordshore Lookout Point.

Bonus: if you look closely, you can see my shadow in the screenshot on the lower right. :)

Location: Lordshore (10, 24, 58)

Is it just the angle or do I not appear to be casting a shadow there?

I think it's just the angle — there is a bit of shadow visible behind your feet (well, wheels). Shadows are pretty long here due by a low sun, and combined with the road's downward slope, most of yours is hidden from view.
