365 days of SL, day 184:

(Click for larger — 1920x1033 PNG, 1951 KiB)

As (sort-of) promised yesterday, we finally went ahead and actually did something today. :P The place we visited was called Quicksand Cove; apparently it's a place for those who enjoy WAM play, mud, sinking, getting stuck and so on.

It may not necessarily be my thing, but it was interesting nonetheless. We even met someone there, a sand elf who apparently considered it her sacred duty to help those who got stuck in quicksand, helping them out again with a quickly-thrown rope.

I didn't take that many screenshots (and the place was dragging down my framerate a lot, although this also may have been due to other things), but the above is one I rather like. I may not really be a good one, but I like how the setting sun's reflections on the water are actually golden; I tried to take some more screenshots of this, but by that time, they'd already turned their usual silver/white again. Pity, but what can you do.

Location: Sheridan (61, 185, 24) (Quicksand Cove)

Hehe. ;) I'll still have to go back some time and actually try the traps — despite my feeling that this is another instance of "cool, but not for me", I'm definitely curious. As I often say, I'll try most things at least once... and sometimes you won't know that you like something until you do. :)
