365 days of SL, day 185:

We went back to Quicksand Cove last night, and I explored the area a bit. It turns out that QC (as it is informally known) does not occupy the entire sim; it's just one parcel, and there are neighboring ones (naturally).

I saw the above while looking up from near the edge of QC; I didn't realize at that time it wasn't part of it, so I decided to go and explore. Walking around the mountain led to a simple torii:

I like torii; we already saw one on day 147, and I did try to imagine passing from the profane to the sacred as I went across this one, although I'd be lying if I said I really felt anything. (For all I know, it may just have been put up because it looks pretty, of course, but the parcel's name – Tengu – suggested that there was some connection to Japan.)

I then went up the mountainside as morning's dawn gave way to forenoon's sun, but this is about as far as I got:

And whither then? I cannot say.

Location: Sheridan (140, 156, 50) (Tengu)

Ooh, I do like the look of that.. I may have to go wandering sometime. Indeed, it's been way too long since I last went exploring, and there certainly is so much to see, as you keep demonstrating. ^_^;
