365 days of SL, day 291:

There was an airfield near the sim I visited the last two days, so how I couldn't I go there again to check it out, along with a plane-loving friend?
Taking a decent picture of the entire area proved difficult, but ultimately, it did work out. The airfield itself looked nice, but the surrounding parcels didn't necessarily, so I had to try and find a viewing angle that didn't show them (much). I think it worked out OK. :)
You can also see me in that screenshot if you look quite closely.

And just because, here's a bonus screenshot — there was a business jet put up in the air to the northwest (not visible in the above screenshot; it'd be to the left and in the background), so we went and took a look at that, too. It was quite nice, if a little cramped; probably not (much) more so than a jet like that would be in RL too, but SL's movement controls etc. are rather coarse, which makes it painfully obvious when there's not a lot of room. (I suppose that's one reason why buildings in SL are generally pretty spacey).
