It's day 333 of this project, so a celebration was in order! Being the slacker that I am, I didn't have anything planned, but I then had the magnificent idea of checking if there was a sim called "Celebration".
Turns out there is, and turns out it was a fireworks store — or part of it was, anyway. They had all sorts of demo systems set up, too, which I made generous use of.

"Say anything you want... in the sky, Schneelocke!" Needless to say, this was part of the demo; I thought it was rather amusing (and a nice touch) to engage the customer personally.

Can you tell I liked these? Here's another screenshot of the sky, with flares.

There were other demos as well, of course, for instance this Eiffel tower that also came with fireworks. It was quite pretty, really; the ball in the background on the left belongs to a "ball drop" type of thing for New Year's Eve displays.

There were other areas, too, though.
I went away from the fireworks demonstrations here and around the building you can see in the third screenshot above; there were trees, meadows and bridges over quiet little brooks. The whole area was quite well-illuminated, as you can see, which lent it that "hot summer night" feeling — quite appealing.

Here's another screenshot I liked; looking across a lake and to the house beyond, with a lamp and a rug for snuggling in the foreground. And a party cannon — can't forget the party cannon. :P

This is another screenshot that just looked nice. I was too tired to go and actually explore that building, but the way it was illuminated looked nice.

And this is just a structure I came by on the way back that I also liked.
All in all... I feel a bit bad about the lack of an overarching narrative here, and maybe I should've just stuck to one shot, but I like all of these and wanted to share them. Think of them as a bunch of bonus shots more so than an attempt to provide a comprehensive overview over the area, or document our adventures.
