Bloom and Gloom

A solid episode. Often reminiscent of Sleepless in Ponyville, insofar as that the moral was similar: everypony has fears, but they must be faced, or the nightmares will continue. But seeing Princess Luna is always nice, so I'm not complaining.

And I was happy that Babs got her cutie mark, at least; it's proof once again that MLP is not making the same mistake as so many other TV shows, sticking to an entirely static universe in which nothing ever changes. Things ARE happening, and I hope that eventually the CMC will get their marks for real, too.

There were some funny moments, e.g. Scootaloo buzzing around after realizing she was in a dream, the chicken on Apple Bloom's windowsill spontaneously laying an egg when startled, and Pinkie in her chicken costume. And the CMC club house has a Rainbow Dash poster and Rainbow Dash balloon animal (and quite possibly more).

So, all in all... it didn't stand out to me as a great episode, but it was enjoyable enough.
